WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

bulletWIC promotes better nutrition for Mothers, Babies, and Young Children.
bulletWIC is a nutrition and health program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture.
bulletWIC buys food for Women, Infants, and Children less than 5 years old.
bulletWIC teaches mothers about breastfeeding and offers support and encouragement
bulletWIC does not replace your doctor or clinic.  The WIC dietitian or nurse helps you determine when it is important to go to your doctor.
bulletWIC offers information about eating right. They will have helpful hints for you when you pick up coupons.
bulletIf you have special needs due to a medical problem, we will work with your doctor to help you.
 
bulletWIC Internet Nutrition Education - For parents of children ages 1-5 years, breastfeeding moms, and moms who have just had a baby.  http://www.wichealth.org/
 
bullet Eat Smart. Play Hard.  is about encouraging and teaching kids and adults to eat healthy and be physically active everyday.
